It’s not often that one gets a chance to enjoy a beach all to oneself, but that was the case on this early morning walk on Kaiteriteri beach. The sun had just started to rise above the horizon, the tide was coming in and the sand was not disturbed by any birds or people. It reminded me of the Chinese and Japanese themed sand gardens… Just on a larger scale.
A few hours later and this becomes very, very busy as the gateway for water taxis to the Abel Tasman National Park, as well as day trippers to the beach.
